Martin Jung was born 1967 in Bavaria on the edge of the alp mountains. Early in his childhood he went climbing and skiing. A little later he fell in love with bicycles and did almost all alp passes on many trips. Because he was challenged to see the mountains from above, too, he learned to fly hang gliders and became test pilote of a magazine on that sport. One of his big obsessions is fotography. Therefore he managed to publish some articles about his bike trips. Cameroon he learned to know from the saddle of a bike, on a trip from Douala to Agadez in Niger. Borneo, the destination of our first expedition he visited twice, for three months altogether. No wonder, he pedalled over there, too. But beside of that he did long trekking trips, to Mount Kinabalu, with 4101m the highest mountain on Borneo, to the Mulu Nationalpark and the Kelabit-Highlands. With the Pictures of this trips, he took part in a Malaysia-slideshow of the group "Computer-Audiovisions". The combination of trekking- and canoetrips that we want to realize is a new challenge for him. He hopes to get a multitude of impressions from the beauty of unspoiled nature. Contacts to people who have a totally different lifestyle than we, are another big interest for him. Martins task is the fotographic documentation of our expeditions. Besides the pictures for the book and articles he will mainly focus on realizing a Multi-Vision-Slideshow. For that he only wants to use original sounds. His goal is to give the spectators an impression of the beauty but also on the threat of the tropical rainforest. |
